Results
from the Industrial Security Review indicated no discrepancies, and all aspects
of the operation are in compliance with contract security specifications. The Aleut staff was extremely helpful in
completing this review. Their efforts
ensure the onsite program is one of Schriever’s best,
and they consistently show willingness to make the program go above and
beyond. We are sincerely thankful for

The
Youth and School Age facilities have greatly benefited from the ongoing
donations of furniture and equipment. This support has directly resulted in an
increase in program attendance. Youth
programs and childcare are essential to the mission, and the success of these
activities greatly depends on community assistance. Thanks for your continued efforts in making
McChord a better place to live and work.

Great work and great Customer Appreciation / Feedback. Getting these areas in perfect condition for
the [9/11 Memorial] Ceremonies this week was extremely important and a Number
One Priority for the Base, and you came through “Big Time” once again (as
usual). Congratulations.

Please express my appreciation to your entire Civil
Engineering team for their quick responses that prevented the loss of our
installation water supply. When high
winds took done one of the power lines to the pumps, your team rapidly
disconnected equipment, preventing damage to the critical well systems. I have come to expect high level of
professionalism from member of your team and the dedication of these
individuals certainly supports that expectation and reflects well on the contractor
members of our team.

My workload is normally project driven so I typically don’t get
a lot of trouble calls. However, I did
have several judicial requests resulting from a judge`s move. The responsiveness of AGS is impressive, as
well as the versatility in the type of work they do. AGS truly appears to be taking pride and
ownership in their work which I’m finding to be a refreshing change.
Several employees have approached me regarding AGS and all
comments have been extremely positive. Again, they are surprised by how quickly AGS
is getting things done. One example is
fixing the exit gate to the judge’s parking lot. Another example is fixing the hallway
lighting out at the Juvenile Courthouse, which has been a thorn in our side for
months and months. Everyone agrees AGS
employees are approachable, friendly, and professional.
We are happy!

I
want to thank each and every one of you for your outstanding operational support
over the past month during this very active tropical weather period. From the
satellite and product operations all the way through to distribution, we were
nearly flawless in our delivery of our critical imagery, products and services
to the nation and to the forecasters that depend on us. All of you have played
an important role in this effort: ensuring the GOES/POES and DMSP satellites
and ground systems are reliably operating. All of the big and small activities
that you do every day (and oftentimes over the weekend) contributed to saving
lives during this very dangerous period. While we all understand that tropical
season is not over and there are likely more dangerous storms to come, and
severe weather always seems to be with us no matter what the season, I again
want to thank you for all your efforts every day in support of our critical
operations. Let's keep up the great work.

This
morning the UCAR said they had reached an all-time record for the number of
real-time atmospheric soundings with the COSMIC spacecraft. Yesterday the count topped 2500. Well done! This is a good chance to
acknowledge again what a tremendous effort everyone on station made to ensure
COSMIC was successful. Users are
extremely pleased with the results.
