Ms. Lauren L. Betzler
Vice President of Contracts and Legal
Lauren L. Betzler was named Vice President of Contracts and Legal for
Aleut Management Services and its subsidiary companies in July 2011. In this position, Ms. Betzler will serve as the company’s primary representative for contractual and legal
matters with customer, industry, and professional organizations. Additionally, Ms. Betzler will be responsible for the protection of the organization’s legal interests
both internally and externally, ensuring that practices, policies, and
activities meet all legal requirements in the jurisdictions in which the
organization operates.
Previously, Ms. Betzler managed Strategic and International Programs for
BAE Systems’ Heavy Brigade Combat Team (HBCT). In addition to her primary position, Ms. Betzler was appointed Ethics Officer for the U.S. Combat Systems Operating Group
nationwide, as well as for the 2,000+ employees at the York, Pennsylvania
facility. She also was chosen to lead
several key projects outside her contracts role for BAE Systems’ Land &
Armament Executive Leadership and Group Treasury at the U.K. parent
company. In 2011 she was nominated for
the Chairman’s Award in the category of Innovation for her Industrial
Partnership project, developed for the purpose of growing existing home markets
and the export business. She was awarded
the Bronze Award in 2010 in the category of Supporting a Total Performance
Culture for Building New Business Markets. Prior to BAE, Ms. Betzler worked for Northrop
Grumman Electronic Systems as the International Lead for the F-16 Legacy/APG68(V)9 Radar program.
Ms. Betzler attended the University of Maryland and received her Bachelor’s in Business
Management, Master’s in International Management and Juris Doctorate from the School of Law. She is
licensed to practice law in the state of Maryland and was an Adjunct Professor
at the University of Maryland Global School of Business and Public Policy.
